Rose Nails

Hey Guys,
My friend did these nails recently and it took her more than an hour. Seriously one of the best nail designs I've ever seen in person!
Look at the detail!
Too beautiful for words :D
I'm not sure about the design, but for the colors, she used Essie's Carry On and Essie's Minamalistic

Brief Nail Polish Strips Review

Hey Guys.
Its time for a quickie review. Its really quick post on what I think about Nail Polish Strips!
In this case, one with a Zebra Design. So basically, for black friday I went to the mall and there was one of those small venders selling these things, I walked by reaaaally slow and YAY the owner let me try a sample. I used the sample and ran away. I feel kinda bad but hey its FREE. This will be a review on what I thought of having it on one nail.
This is what it would like like IF I had bought the whole thing.
here it is on the ring finger
Pro: These actually look REALLY nice depending on the design you buy. Its looks like it was done by a professional.
It claims that it REAL nail polish. I believe it because I sniffed it and it smells Just like real Nail polish; not only that but the surface texture feels like what smooth, dried nail polish would feel like.
Pro: Very easy to apply. Just stick it on carefully and just rips off the excess. There is no resistance when you try to tear off the extra bits. File the strip into the shape of your nail and thats it!
Pro: No drying time necessary

Just another angle
Con: Very easy to come off. Just by scratching, you can get it off. You don't even need nail polish remover. (This could be a pro for people who change their nail polish often)
If you do use these, I suggest using a top coat right after you put it on. This way, it will last much longer. (claims to last up to 2 weeks on its on)
Con: Pretty expensive. I think $9? Its almost the same as one bottle of OPI...
Con: Comes in one package of 12 or 16. In both cases, Its not enough for 2 different applications. (you would think that Sally Hansen would be a little more generous and give the 4 more to make it 20...but Noooo)
__________________________________________
So, Would I ever buy it? Yes, IF I happened to have tons of money because in the long run, $9 for one use does not seem very worth it.
Is is good? ( with top coat) I would say its 8 stars out of 10.

Caramel Apple Nails Tutorial

Hey Guys,
I'm back with another tutorial! This time the theme is based on Apples ;D enjoy~ Oh and I will post the names of nail polish at the very end of the tutorial.
This is what we will be working on.
These are the supplies you need. The stick is an Apple Fimo Cane. You also needed Wax paper in case you can't tell.
You will also need tape

Start off with base coat. btw: this picture is recycled from one of my old tutorials LOL I forgot to take a picture of nails before I went on the next step. That's why the nails look longer later XD
Put on a coat of Light Green Polish
Take out your tape and wax paper. The wax paper is so that you can put the tape on while you cut it. It will be explained below.
If you look harder, you can see that I have put 5 pieces of tape onto the wax paper already.  Also get out a hobby knife/box cutter/ a sharp scissor etc.
Now for the Caramel Apple drips you need to draw the drippy stuff on the TOP of the tape. Like so
Do this 5x, one for each nail. Or in your case, 10x. (since I already finished my right hand.)
Now cut by tracing along the pen lines.
After you cut it, it should look like this. Rip it off the wax paper very carefully.
Now Gently place it on your nails and tap it down to make sure it stays. Before you do this, make sure your nail polish is DRY. or it will come off with the tape.
Now paint on the beige/tan color over the tape. You do not have to worry about getting the tape dirty because you will be ripping it off later.
DO NOT leave on the tape to dry with the polish. It will mess up your nails. After you put on the biege coat, rip off the tape like 4 seconds later. Gently
Okay now its time for the decorations! you can get Fimo canes on Amazon, Ebay, or a nail supply store.
Cut them into thinly like so.
When your nail polish dries, put some nail glue onto the apple slice and place on your nail. Using a tweezer helps a lot when positioning it.
Apply a top coat and you're done!

Nail Polish Mini-Haul

Hey Guys!
So I recently got bought nail polish and a nail dotting tool which was a gift. I want to show them to you guys and rant about how much I <3 them. So here they are:
YAY so from left to right is : Cocktail Bling, Cherry Pop, Nail Dot Pen, Nail Strengthener.
First Up is Essie's Cocktail Bling from their 2011 Winter Collection.
I LOVE this color. I actually wanted it for a very long time. A lovely neutral color in a pale grayish-blue.
Sadly, the picture quality doesn't do the color justice. I can't wait to try it out!
UPDATE: I tried this one out and it is AH-MAZING. Its opaque on just 1 coat!!! With Essie, its a miracle!
Here's a stock image.
Next up is Cherry Pop. Its a sheer, glossy color in red. I'm not sure which collection its from, but its older color. (From 2010 summer collection) Reminds me of fruit punch. I should have took more pictures of this one. I think I might need 2-3 coats to make it dark.
cherry pop
Stock Image again for comparison....I think mines looks better
This is one of the items I was MOST excited about. I got it as a gift and the packaging to me is very pretty.
The actual pen is longer than shown in the picture.
The tip is so fine for super detailed nail art designs. I think this comes in white also....but Its only available
from the FaceShop from what I know. Korean Brand.
Guess what: Its only $2! I hope it works. Its a Nail strengthener that comes in pink and white. This one contains Calcium and Wheat protein to make your nails stronger. The white one has Garlic and Vitamin E  O.O
I've already applied it on my nails. I have really weak nails that tend to chip and break. Hopefully my $2 will be well spent but I guess I shouldn't raise my hopes too high. On the plus side, It has a milky-pink tinge to it. So it heals/hydrates my nails while giving it an natural pink look.
(btw: As you can see, I'm having a hard time getting the nail art off from my thumb from a previous design)

Recap- so here's everything. I actually got more than this but these were the highlights. Maybe if I have time I'll make a 'Part 2'

Half-Moon Mani Tutorial

Hey Guys!
I just have a quick tip for you all. I always thought this was obvious but I realized that not everyone thinks of this. So have you ever wondered how to do the half-moon manicure without screwing up and messing up the circular shape? Well here's how :) (btw plz excuse the bad "photoshop" this is just a tutorial/tip I threw together pretty quickly)

You will need just nail polish of your choice and loose leaf reinforcements. (from staples)
(used to keep loose leaf holes from ripping)
FINAL PRODUCT: This is what your half-moon manicure might turn out like.
(hands are from the courtesy of my sister)

Okay Ill just show how its done from one nail. so paint on your polish. Whatever color you want your half-moon to be.
When nail polish is FULLY DRIED paste on the reinforcement as shown above. Move it up or down according to the size you want your half moon to be. Make sure it sticks.
Paint the black polish over the nail. It does not matter if you go over the reinforcement as long as you are careful not to get any polish onto the half-moon. Rip off after 8 seconds. carefully If you leave it on too long and It dries along with the reinforcement, things will not look pretty.

And it should look like like this with the reinforcement off! It does not have to be perfect, BUT CLOSE  lol
 kekeke XD

Voila! You're finished! You can decorate however you want. In this case: stars
Btw the tip box shows a helpful tip. cut the reinforcement in 2 and use one for each finger! Great if you don't want to waste the other side!

LAST WORDS
Note: This awkward pose makes the fingers really weird. In reality my sisters hands are much nicer.
